Used for fiscal monitoring, analysing skids such as this one are fabricated off site to be transported and inserted into remote pipeline sections. 
Once in place fuel gas is routed through high accuracy sensing equipment for flow, pressure, temperature and dew point measurement, while sample lines feed a gas chromatograph for analysis. The measurement and analysis results are then transmitted in real time via telemetry to a centralised control and monitoring station.
